Our Botanical palette in both half and full pan formats!

The special edition half pan botanical-themed watercolor palette is now available in our online store. The half pan Botanical palette was first released exclusively on the occasion of the Flowers exhibition at the Chiostro del Bramante.

This set captures the beauty and chromatic richness of the botanical world through a curated selection of 12 colors. From luminous yellows to earthy reds and a vibrant spectrum of greens and blues, this palette is an invitation to explore the timeless connection between art and nature!

Royal yellow, a vibrant and warm hue, can be diluted with water to create soft, delicate petals or intensified for brighter greens and oranges.

Pietra Rosa, a granulating pink, can be mixed with Royal yellow for dusty pinks and oranges or with Viridian hue for unique greys and multifaceted purples. Green gold introduces a vibrant yet earthy hue, that offers a wide range of gorgeous greens when modified with Phthalo blue (RS), ideal for foliage and stems.

Phthalo blue (RS) brings depth and contrast, perfect for creating shadows or adding dimension and creating deep, transparent purples or diluted with water for softer gradients. Enjoy experimenting with these colors!

The half pan collection includes a size 8 synthetic Kazan pocket brush. The full pan collection includes a size 8 synthetic Kazan brush by @tintorettobrushes.

Handmade watercolor set of twelve individually wrapped half or full pans in a metal tin with two mixing surfaces and color chart printed on Arches watercolor paper. Made by hand in Assisi, our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.

Another yes!

I’m not a botanical painter but wanted to try this palette. Having full pans is a blessing especially with larger brushes, speaking of which I am fast becoming a convert to the Tinteretto ones that come with the palettes. Normally if you even get a brush it is nothing to brag about but these are amazing!
The colours in the palette are beautifully chosen. I could do without the Aquamarine as it’s easy enough to make it but it was used a fair bit for the first painting I did of a peacock. I’m looking forward to using the Pietra Rosa soon The Perylene green is a stand out, so dark almost black but makes gorgeous blue greens and greys. The Dioxzinine purple is also the darkest I’ve ever seen.
It’s another beautiful palette by A Gallo!
