New tube format! The Leighton red ochre is a natural red earth from the northwest of England. This particular English red is gathered in limited quantities from the lands around Yealand and Warton, an area that once belonged to the Washington family.

Made by hand in Assisi, our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.

Not intended for use by children. Wash hands after use. A. Gallo Colors are all cadmium, cobalt, lead and mercury free.
