PR255 | Excellent lightfastness | Semi-opaque

Now available in full pan size! Vermilion red is an intense, semi opaque orange-red with excellent lightfastness. Contemporary pyrrole reds are the leading alternative to less lightfast middle red pigments, such as the naphthol reds, and the more polluting cadmium pigments.

Made by hand in Assisi, our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.

Half pans and full pans are packaged with a corresponding color card with color details for your reference on the back.

A. Gallo Colors are 100% handmade. Pans may contain small imperfections like tiny bubbles and minor blemishes. This does not affect the quality of the paint and is a sign of the human touch that goes into making each and every unique pan.

Half and full pans present a choking hazard and are not intended for use by children. Please also keep out of reach of pets. A. Gallo Colors are all cadmium, cobalt, lead and mercury free.

Very nice bright scarlet. Looks nothing like genuine vermilion though.

As always, beautifully presented, like a gift but for me. Some of this order is a gift for my daughter, she will be so happy. The ceramics are wonderful, the paint, the best I have found and the paper I am yet to unwrap. The only down is the very high international rates but I can either wait 2 months or get it very fast and pay $70 NZ or 45 Euro. Neither choice is ideal, I think this is just how it is. I just love this brand so much I'm flying to Italy to visit for my next order!!
