Meteorite brown - half pan
Chondrite, genuine | Excellent lightfastness | Semi Transparent
Meteorite brown is made from ground meteorite stones. These Chondrites belong to the so-called stone meteorites and are about 4.5 billion years old. Found in Morocco, near the city of Zagora, these stones originally came from the asteroid belt which is found between the planetary orbits of Mars and Jupiter, and fell to earth as a shooting star.
Made by hand in Assisi, our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.
