PALETTE BUILDER INFORMATION AND DISCOUNTS

We are excited to now offer a palette builder tool! You can build your own personalized watercolor palette by select colors to fill an empty watercolor palette or by adding colors to a prepackaged set. By selecting 12 half pans or 6 full pans or more you will receive a discount at checkout when using the palette builder feature. If you fill any size palette, when starting from an empty watercolor palette, the discount at check out will be the cost of the watercolor tin of your selected size. If you start from a prepackaged palette product, you will receive a brush with the palette. The brush included in the set will be indicated according to the product you chose as your starting point. Is not possible to add the same color more than once with the palette builder tool. When building your palette it is possible to select either half pans or full pans, but not a combination of the two. What are your order processing times?

Starting in August 2024, we are excited to offer faster processing times! USA 1-2 business days and 2-3 days for all other destinations! As soon as we ship your order, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking number. Delivery times will vary depending on the shipping option you have selected.

WHAT IS YOUR POLICY FOR RETURNS AND REPAIRS?

Please contact us right away if your item is defective or damaged. We will replace the item if defective. Please attach a photo and a description of the issue to your email so we can best assist you. If you would like to return an undamaged item, please contact us within 3 days of delivery and ship items back to us within 7 days of delivery to receive a refund. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. Thank you.

ARE A. GALLO WATERCOLORS VEGAN FRIENDLY?

Our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe. This recipe includes local honey from Umbria, which increases the colors wet-ability, brilliance and longevity. We also use a small quantity of Oxgall as a wetting agent. Ox gall is of animal origin. Animal well being is an issue important to us, and we are testing synthetic alternatives to this ingredient. Handmade watercolor set of twelve individually wrapped half pans in a metal tin with two mixing surfaces, a color chart printed on Arches watercolor paper, and an artist grade pocket brush by Tintoretto size 6. This color collection is curated for maximum mixing range and versatility. It includes pairs of warm and cool primary colors, three natural earth colors, two greens and a convenience neutral.

The Classic 12 handmade watercolor set is packaged with original marbled paper by a Florentine artisan workshop.

Featuring the new Burnt sienna made from natural earth pigment from the historical quarry near Arcidosso, Monte Amiata. Though the historical quarry, known as ‘la sega,’ has long since closed, we now have special access to the stocks of this exceptional raw sienna, which is calcinated in small batches.

Made by hand in Assisi, our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.

A. Gallo Colors are 100% handmade. Pans may contain small imperfections like tiny bubbles and minor blemishes. This does not affect the quality of the paint and is a sign of the human touch that goes into making each and every unique pan!

Half pans present a choking hazard and are not intended for use by children. Please also keep out of reach of pets. A. Gallo Colors are all cadmium, cobalt, lead and mercury free.

Awesome palette!

I ordered this palette a few weeks ago, so I have had lots of time to use it. I have to say I have fallen in love with A.Gallo paints this year. Like most artists, especially watercolour artists, we do tend to like tube paints the most (or at least I do) I have to say, A.Gallo pans are just as good as their tubes. Easily re-wetable and pick up lots of pigment from the first use.
These paints also flow beautifully wet on wet but not uncontrollably. I also find that I am able to paint in very small detail, like you do with pencil, and the result is realistic and luminous with good layering making work have this beautiful depth to it.
As well as the metal palettes being high quality (rolled edges/sturdy etc) There's a variety of colours with cool and warm choices and a selection of earth/neutral pans that make this a set that has everything in it. You can take it out with you, or use it at your desk- you have all the colours you need, not to mention the mixing potential.
The travel brush is also a lovely extra- Its well made and sturdy and the brush fibres keep a nice point.
I also do love the aroma of the Rosemary essential oil as I'm painting. I feel its calming effect.Its a beautiful touch to these paints.
They arrive beautifully packaged with lots of branded cards/wrapping (the handmade marbled paper as a palette covering is absolutely gorgeous!) Lots of attention to the big and little things and a joy to use. Worth every penny
