New tube format! Alizarin crimson hue is a lightfast, deep red pigment with a blue undertone. It has a wonderful capacity to create a wide range of rich, permanent purples and browns. This color has excellent lightfastness and is non-granulating, medium staining and transparent.

Made by hand in Assisi, our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.
