I ordered this palette a few weeks ago, so I have had lots of time to use it. I have to say I have fallen in love with A.Gallo paints this year. Like most artists, especially watercolour artists, we do tend to like tube paints the most (or at least I do) I have to say, A.Gallo pans are just as good as their tubes. Easily re-wetable and pick up lots of pigment from the first use.
These paints also flow beautifully wet on wet but not uncontrollably. I also find that I am able to paint in very small detail, like you do with pencil, and the result is realistic and luminous with good layering making work have this beautiful depth to it.
As well as the metal palettes being high quality (rolled edges/sturdy etc) There's a variety of colours with cool and warm choices and a selection of earth/neutral pans that make this a set that has everything in it. You can take it out with you, or use it at your desk- you have all the colours you need, not to mention the mixing potential.
The travel brush is also a lovely extra- Its well made and sturdy and the brush fibres keep a nice point.
I also do love the aroma of the Rosemary essential oil as I'm painting. I feel its calming effect.Its a beautiful touch to these paints.
They arrive beautifully packaged with lots of branded cards/wrapping (the handmade marbled paper as a palette covering is absolutely gorgeous!) Lots of attention to the big and little things and a joy to use. Worth every penny

Bright and beautiful colours

Just got my first set of Gallo paint and really enjoying it. Will be my go to watercolors going forward.

From perusing the website to learn about the company, process, and products, to choosing the paint colors, to delivery (which included email updates), the experience was excellent.
