This granulating color can be mixed with a variety of blues to create sky colors or blended with Transparent red oxide or Burnt sienna for beautiful neutrals. It also combines wonderfully with vibrant quinacridone violets and magentas. The modern replacement and color match for the historical pigment lapis lazuli, Ultramarine blue is an essential blue on every artist's palette.

Made by hand in Assisi, our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.

Each half-pan is packaged with a corresponding color card with color details for your reference on the back.
