Signature 1 - Handmade watercolor set

The Signature 1 is a vibrant palette of brilliant single pigments and signature secondary color blends! This collection of 12 colors is at once clean and bright, granulating and deep.

This collection includes a hand tied Traditional mop pocket brush series 1337 by @tintorettobrushes. The synthetic squirrel fiber this exclusive pocket brush is bound with a golden wire to a tumbled black handle. Cap in matte black.

Now including Transparent red oxide (PR101), a warm rusty orange/ sienna color perfect for adding layers and light to earth tones. Mix this moderately granulating red oxide with ultramarine blue for dramatic sky washes or modify sap green in landscapes to achieve rich moody greens. Transparent red oxide will be replacing Quinacridone red gold (P048), which is no longer being manufactured.

The Signature 1 handmade watercolor set is packaged with original marbled paper by a Florentine artisan workshop and comes inside an elegant gift box.

Made by hand in Assisi, our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.

The synthetic squirrel fiber in the new 1337, is firmly secured to the tumbled handle thanks to a special bi component glue and the ferrule, which is made out of plastic material and bound with golden wire. This grants not only a high stability but also and most importantly a great water resistance. Cap in matte black.

A. Gallo Colors are 100% handmade. Pans may contain small imperfections like tiny bubbles and minor blemishes. This does not affect the quality of the paint and is a sign of the human touch that goes into making each and every unique pan!
