New tube format! Mineral violet, also known as Manganese violet, is a very lightfast, semi-transparent, lightly staining, dark valued, granulating red violet pigment. While it has an assertive and distinctive pigment personality, this becomes less conspicuous when the paint is part of a shadow mixture.

Made by hand in Assisi, our watercolors are crafted according to a traditional recipe of raw pigments, gum arabic, local honey, rosemary essential oil and a wetting agent. This artisanal process creates a very pigmented and luminous paint that activates beautifully when wet.
